Thank You All!
I just want to thank every one that took the time to read my blog. I am a new blogger . My goal was to inform my audience on the tips and information, that I have learned in my communication course. This has been a great journey for me and as always I look forward to learning more!

Professional Organizations
In My Communication Course I learned about organizations
that can be helpful for the future. Below
I have described five different organizations that I learned about today.
Today I learned about the Toast Master’s program. I found it by reading our instructors guidance.
I really think it is a great organization.
The introduction on the site gives information about the organization
providing encouragement and helping people to gain confidence by speaking
publicly. (Toast Masters International, 2013)
I would definitely join this organization, because it would give me the
opportunity to connect and meet new people.
I would also be able to strengthen
my communication skills while being apart and learn new things as well.
The HSLDA stands for Home School Legal Defense Association.
(HSLDA, 1983) I joined the home school group
months ago. I had become interested in learning more about children’s as I was in
school. I have two little girls of my own. As I was taking courses I wanted to look into
programs that could help them with learning. I feel that by learning about communication it
has helped me to become interested in groups and interacting with others. The
home school association gives you information on how children of different ages
can be home schooled. There are also home
school groups for families that people can join in their local area as well. Parents can get together and their children
can have play dates and take field trips, participate in sports, and much more.
Teachers first is a website that I just learned about as
well. It seems to me that it can be
handy in helping teachers or people period in learning new tools. Also handy for enhancing learning for students
in education who are working with technology. Teachers
who teach communication or other subjects may find this group helpful. ( Teacher s First, 1998)
International Association of Business Communicators is a
group of professionals who can work in different
areas of communication. It is a
network of professionals in different countries. Lots of relationships can built and skills
can be enhanced as well. (IABC, 2013)
Linked In is a professional network that I learned about in
this course. I think that it can be
helpful in building professional relationships. It can be a good communication tool. (Linked In,
2013)

What Makes A Good Blog?
This week we were instructed to choose three of our class mate’s
blogs to evaluate. For one of my
assignments I had been instructed to take a look at the components needed to
create an appealing blog. First I will go over each students blog that I
discussed in week four discussion one.
First I took a look at Annaliisa Garcia’s blog which can be found
at http://eatingbeansinchina.blogspot.com/.
I was very interested to see her blog.
I was very interested in reading about her experiences in China. I love traveling and love to learn about new
places. The blog about the beans was a great story. I also like the new blogs that
she has added to the site as well. The blog is very professional and is written
well. I think that the light yellow
background color fits. I think that
everything flows very well with the proper content for the audience.
Annaliisa’s blog is very
interesting and the color as well as the story fits very well. I think that the
elements needed for a blog consists of clear writing, good colors and graphics
that flow with the reading and organization.
I think that Annaliisas blog had all of these elements which created an
appealing blog to the audience. I want to incorporate those things into my blog
that I am learning from each of the blogs.
The comments that my class mates have left me have been very helpful to
me.
The next blog that I chose to look at was Jeannie Swint’s which can
be found at
http://thereshouldbea12stepprogramforthis.blogspot.com/?zx=6fa1dd84e8927e15. I loved the pictures at the bottom of the
blog and her writing that talks about values, customs and getting to know
others. The pictures were good examples
of what was written in the blog. I also
think that the blog is very creative. I
like that Jeannie introduces herself and that it is a fun and educational blog
at the same time. I think that it fits
the audience and that the purpose is established and it flows well. There is
organization and she has even added more pictures that go with her key points
in the blog. She has a picture of the Ten Commandments which I like. It fits the topic and it is a good visually
appealing blog. It is educational, but
still fun and appealing to the reader’s eye.
The third blog that I chose
can be found at http://coffeewithcolette.blogspot.com/ and it was written by
Tracy Tennant. I love the design! I think that the coffee theme and the paper
go great with communicating. It almost
reminds me of two people coming to sit down to chat about news while having a
cup of coffee! I think that the flow as
well as the content is great. It all
fits the audience and the purpose is established with information and good
sources to. I just recently viewed the blog again and I noticed the last part
at the bottom. I love the last part that
talks about coming and grabbing a cup of coffee! Also when I looked at the page today the cup
of coffee looked really warm and soothing.
The cup of coffee is definitely an eye catcher that fits so well and is
appealing to the reader.
I have learned a lot about
my blog from my classmates. I have
learned about organization, pictures, creativity and more. This has been a great journey. I look forward
to learning more.
